Tweedsmuir Park Lodge

Where Wilderness Meets Luxury

Lodge Overview

Set on 60 acres of private property in The Great Bear Rainforest, Tweedsmuir Park Lodge can host a maximum of 20 guests per week. Guests stay in beautiful timber-frame chalets with the helicopters landing on the central lawn in front of the chalets. 

Most chalets feature a queen bed on the ground level and a double bed in the loft. Two of the chalets feature king beds. All chalets feature a gas fireplace, an independent thermostat, and a three-piece en-suite bathroom.

The main lodge building has a sophisticated restaurant and lounge with a large central stone fireplace and a well-stocked wine cellar. The spa facilities feature a gym, sauna, and a large outdoor hot tub with amazing views, perfect for relaxing after a big day in the mountains! The property borders the pristine Atnarko River, where guests can fly-fish at certain times when they are not skiing.

Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is one of the most pristine grizzly bear habitats in the world. In late summer and autumn, guests can often see bears wandering past the lodge or napping on the lawn!

Travel Logistics

All packages include return flights, 70-minutes direct, from Vancouver to Bella Coola. Flights depart in the early afternoon on the first day of each package.

All you need to do is get yourself to Vancouver and we take care of the rest!

  • 1 hours and 30-minute ground transfer from Anahim Lake Airport (secondary) on days of inclement weather

Accommodation and amenities

Accommodation at Tweedsmuir Park Lodge is hosted in 10 private chalets, with a main lodge providing common space for dining, games, and socializing. The lodge has a maximum capacity of 16 guests per week, making it ideal for large groups wanting to book the entire facility, yet still intimate enough that small groups can get to know each other.

Lodge amenities:

  • Free wireless computer access throughout the lodge and chalets
  • Spa facility with 12 person outdoor covered hot tub 
  • Cork floored gym for stretching and yoga, includes weights and exer-cycles (see video here)
  • Sauna
  • Large living room / dining room with river rock fireplace
  • Sports bar with fireplace, foosball, table hockey, billiards table, darts, games and satellite TV
  • Massage rooms (we recommend booking massages ahead of time. To make a reservation, login here and on the "Lodges" page click on the “Treat Yourself”)
  • Retail shop with Bella Coola Heli Sports logowear
  • Large central lawn perfect for: Bocce Ball, Croquet, Volleyball, and Frisbee (all equipment provided….obviously after the snow has melted in the valley!)
  • Archery - Borrow a bow from our Reception Desk (choose from Recurve or Long Bow styles). Guests will receive a short intro from our guides at our archery range. We have equipment suitable for ages 5 and up!
  • Note: there is no cell phone coverage at the Lodge
