Payment & Cancellation Policies

PAYMENT POLICY

Winter 2023/24 Onwards

Installment 1 – To secure your reservation, we require $3,500 CAD per person for Small Group packages and $5,000 CAD per person for Private packages and Buyouts to be paid at the time of booking. 

If you are booking within 90 days of the start date of the program, full payment is required to secure your reservation.

Installment 2Due at least 90 days prior to the start date of the program.

CANCELLATION POLICY

In the unfortunate case that you need to cancel your heli-skiing reservation, please familiarise yourself with the cancellation policy outlined below. All cancellation requests must be submitted by email by clicking here. 

Cancellation requests submitted by phone will not be accepted.

We strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance from Acera Insurance (formally Lifestyle Financial) at the time of booking. This will protect your investment from unforeseen circumstances that may prevent you from participating in your heli-skiing program. For additional information, see the ‘Cancellation Insurance’ section below.

1. Cancelling after submitting the first installment, but prior to submitting the second installment (outside of 90 days);

The first installment is non-refundable.

However, we can offer you the following options;

a) Subject to availability, you may reschedule to a later date within the same season; however, if applicable you will be required to pay the rate difference.

b) Subject to the terms and conditions associated with the initial purchase, you can find a substitute to take over your booking and have them reimburse you directly. The first installment will remain attached to the original booking and the substitute will be responsible for submitting the balance payment at least 90 days prior to the start date of the program. 

2. Cancelling after submitting the first and second installments (inside of 90 days);

Both the first and second installments are non-refundable. 

However, we can offer you the following options;

a) We can attempt to resell your seat on your behalf. If we are able to resell the seat, we will credit your account for the amount we sold it for, minus a $500 administration fee, which you can use towards a trip in the next two winters.

b) Subject to the terms and conditions associated with the initial purchase, you can find a substitute to take over your booking and have them reimburse you directly.

Other considerations;

1. We reserve the right to cancel your reservation at any time. In the unlikely event that this happens, we will provide the opportunity to reschedule your trip to a future date; or, if you are unable to reschedule your trip to a future date, we will provide you with a full refund. 

2. In the event that you cancel your reservation after submitting the first installment, we reserve the right to retain the first installment and resell your seat.

3. If you have not submitted the second installment at least 90 days prior to the start date of the program, we will reserve the right to cancel your reservation, retain the first installment, and resell the seat. 

Please note: It is important that you take the time to educate yourself on the requirements to travel both to Canada and to return to your home country. Being denied entry into Canada due to failure to meet entry requirements, such as visa or vaccination requirements, will not be accepted as a valid reason to cancel your reservation and receive a refund or to reschedule your trip to a future date. CANCELLATION INSURANCE

For your protection, we strongly recommend purchasing cancellation insurance from Acera Insurance (formally Lifestyle Financial) at the time of booking.

Once you have submitted the first installment and your reservation has been confirmed, significant expenses are incurred and long-term commitments are made on your behalf. For this reason, we do not offer refunds if you are forced to cancel your reservation at a later date.

In addition, we also recommend purchasing medical evacuation insurance with either Acera Insurance or Global Rescue. In the unfortunate event that you are injured while skiing and need to be flown to the hospital or back to the lodge, you are fully responsible for the cost of the flight, which will be billed to your account.

Special note on flight changes; 

If you miss your flight to Bella Coola/Anahim Lake, or are unable to arrive/depart on the flights that we have booked on your behalf, you will be responsible for all of the costs associated with booking an alternative flight to or from Bella Coola/Anahim Lake. 

It is important to note that flights to and from Bella Coola/Anahim Lake are limited and are subject to high demand. Missing your flight to Bella Coola/Anahim Lake, or not being able to arrive/depart on the flight that we have scheduled on your behalf, may cause you to miss one or more days of your heli-skiing program. 

If you miss one or more days of heli-skiing as a result of flight complications, the vertical accumulated by your group in your absence will be subtracted from the total amount of vertical included in your package.
