Company Overview

Bella Coola Heli Sports operates in the glaciated wilderness of BC’s central coast. We provide world-class skiing in the winter and connect our guests with incredible wilderness adventures in the summer. We operate from five remote properties, three of which are in the Tatla Lake region of the Chilcotin and two which are in the Bella Coola valley. We boast the largest heli-skiing tenure of any operator in the world and our Himalayan-like mountains draw outdoor enthusiasts from around the world.

Our enthusiastic team works hard to play hard, and is dedicated to perfecting the travel experience through the highest standards of hospitality… all with some fun and personality! To thrive here, you must love the outdoors and rural living.

Reports To: Head Chef

At Bella Coola Heli Sports, every great day in the mountains starts with exceptional preparation. As First Cook, you’ll play a critical role in delivering two essential components of the guest and staff experience: executing our heli lunch program and preparing nourishing staff dinners.

This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented cook who takes pride in consistency, efficiency, and quality. The heli lunch program is one of the most important operational components of the day, requiring precision, careful planning, and an unwavering commitment to food safety. From preparing and packing lunches to coordinating with the daily flight schedule, your work helps ensure guests enjoy exceptional meals wherever the day takes them.

Working alongside the Head Chef and culinary team, you’ll also lead the preparation of daily staff dinners while supporting overall kitchen operations. Life at Bella Coola Heli Sports is collaborative and fast-paced, and we’re looking for someone who enjoys working hard, embraces responsibility, and thrives in a remote mountain environment.
