Josie Dix

Having grown up in the south of England, Josie moved to Whistler for "a 6-month ski season" in 2014 after finishing her Bachelors in Politics and Philosophy. Within a few weeks, she had fallen in love with the BC outdoors and made plans to stay forever. Josie spent 6 years as a Mountain Operations Supervisor at Whistler Blackcomb before wishing to further explore (pun intended) the outdoor industry. She joined the Bella Coola Heli Sports team in the fall of 2021.

Her experience in Mountain Operations helped prepare her for the complex logistics that accompany managing the Transportation of a remote Heli-Ski operation. She is very excited to continue building and improving the program.

Josie represents Bella Coola Heli Sports on the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast Tourism Sustainability Committee, which guides CCCTA's Biosphere Certification action plan and the implementation of Destination Stewardship activities and projects, as well as supporting the adoption of sustainability principles and activities throughout the entire tourism value chain.

When Josie isn't at work you'll find her backpacking, hiking, skiing and exploring this incredible province, eating delicious vegan food and taking photographs of her adventures.
