The alarm rings between 6 and 6:30am. It’s still dark outside. It’s time for the heli ski guides to roll out of bed. There is dampness in the air. A glance out the window of the cabin; it’s snowing lightly. We have just wrapped up our summer season, which was a success all around, but it was a cold one and lots of snow never melted in the high alpine and glaciated areas. How New Ski Runs Get Discovered and Named

The discovery started with a sunny week and a hard skiing group that skied every day, all day. They had fresh snow on the first day, so the beginning of the week saw them near the lodge in knee deep powder.
