Before the BC Ferries start running in mid June, you can arrive by air using our charter service provided by Pacific Coastal Airlines. We will pick you up from the airport.

You may have the option to fly your own plane into the Bella Coola Airport. You can also land your private or chartered helicopter on the front lawn of the lodge, just steps from your chalet. Another popular way to vist Bella Coola is driving or cycling, from Williams Lake on Highway 20, across the plateau and traversing 'The Hill' down into the lush Valley.

International Visitors By Air

Make flight arrangements for air travel to Vancouver International Airport, from there use our direct charter, Pacific Coastal Airlines.

Charter Flights to Bella Coola, BC

PCA flights depart daily from Vancouver and Bella Coola from September 1st to July 1st. Then from July 2nd to August 31st, PCA adds an additional flight providing visitors with two scheduled charter flights a day. Departures are from the South Terminal located on the south side of the Vancouver Airport complex. This is a five-minute taxi ride from the main terminal.

Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your flight. If you have been staying in downtown Vancouver you should allow 1 hour traveling time to the airport for your flight. Flight time is 1 hour and 15 minutes from Vancouver.

Luggage: Two small soft bags are better than one large bag. They are easier to load and store. There is a 50 lb weight limit per passenger on Pacific Coastal Airlines and any excess luggage may be refused.

**Important Note:: We recommend that you schedule any International or trans border connections from Vancouver for the following day.
