Our Heli Hiking excursions will take you to places where few people have wandered. These trips take place in the summer and early autumn, from the middle of July to the end of September. This is when snow has melted from the alpine hiking trails and the flowers are blooming.

Accompanied by an experienced and knowledgeable guide, you will experience smooth polished granite ridge walks, vistas of snow capped mountains, and views of deep valleys and fjords. We will follow emerald green lakes touched by ancient glaciers and walk past small tarns surrounded by numerous varieties of alpine wild flowers. There is the potential to see mountain goats, bears and eagles, as well as Marmot, and Black Tailed Deer.

There are a number of established heli hiking routes to choose from in the Bella Coola Valley. Together with your guide you will decide on which hikes to pursue based on which seem most appealing and your physical fitness.

Most people who visit the pristine Bella Coola valley do not have the opportunity to experience the alpine wonderland waiting above. The vertical rise from the valley is huge and without a helicopter, involves long, strenuous hiking through thick bush. Our helicopter tours are the most efficient way to deliver you to the alpine

Approximately 5 Travelers. Nature expeditions are best experienced in smaller sized groups and we keep our Heli Hiking adventures to a maximum size of five.
